This is my three boll cotton boll brooch. This is how cotton looks in the field when a farmer has had a good crop. The bolls grow tightly together and makes a beautiful display. The white pieces are three matching hand carved snow white quartz stones that I individually hand sculpt. They each represent a beautiful five lock cotton boll.
The stone looks like real cotton with a frosted cotton texture. But the stone will hold up and make this jewelry last. As you can see in the pictures this is not a flat piece and it has a lot of dimension and detail.The Cotton stone is mounted into a cotton boll hull that is made out of solid 14kt yellow gold. This piece has five lock cotton bur hulls with the brack leaves peeking out form behind each cotton boll.
This is a piece of fine jewelry that I hand make using stone carving which is almost a lost art.
The pin or brooch has 14kt. gold components on the back.
